Grampian Concert Orchestra

Grampian Concert Orchestra

For over 22 years, this amateur community chamber orchestra of around thirty-five members has presented three or four concerts each year in Aberdeen city and occasionally out and about in the Grampian area. They often perform with a soloist and attract many enquiries from music-college students who are looking for the experience of performing with an orchestra.

The Grampian Concert Orchestra aims to present inexpensive but high quality popular concert programmes; to offer amateur players a regular outlet to practice and perform their art, regardless of age or income, and to provide an opportunity to meet likeminded individuals; and to promote classical music and orchestral playing, encouraging more people of all ages to discover the enjoyment of listening to and performing the classics.
