At Exaudi's autumn 2019 performance of Ailie Robertson's world premiere of Motherhood, sound's Director, Fiona Robertson, was presented with the Royal Philharmonic Society's Leslie Boosey Award for her outstanding contribution to the Arts in Aberdeen and the NE.
Motherhood was an informed and emotional journey through the myriad experiences of motherhood, drawing on verbatim recordings of women's voices from the NE, blended with the words and music of the three soloists. This was a most poignant and thoughtful exploration, both personal and universal, whose authenticity was sympathetically understood by the highly appreciative audience. A terrific event which the Trust were proud to support.
